Ponies.

As you might have spotted in my Lyra Heartstrings post, I'm re-learning to draw. What does that mean?
Over the last many years, I have learned to draw by looking at things and drawing them. I saw lines and made them happen on paper. Sometimes the lines were in my head. However, this isn't particularly good when it comes to actually understanding the things I'm drawing.
And so, I'm learning things like how things exist in Euclidean space and how to make that look good on paper. I'm learning about undersketches, and that weird shapey thing that artists do when they block out their drawing beforehand.
It will definitely level up my art in a long-term kind of way.

Speaking of ponies, I'm going to draw ponies. A lot. In fact, I'm going to draw 100 of them. They say you have 100 bad drawing in you, so you'd best just draw and get them out of your system so you can be a better artist. Well, I've already arted a lot, but since I'm learning again, I thought I'd do it once more.

Basically, I figured if I'm going to be more active with the whole arting and writing and things (Exams permitting), I could maybe try to fund things like living so I can spend more time making content like drawing, writing and doing other things I enjoy that other people also seem to enjoy when I do, and less time stressing about money/freelancing/working/etc. Did I words that properly? Probably not.
It'll also help fund me towards studying Linguistics at Cambridge university, which is something I really really want to do.

Once I'm done with my many pony drawing (Though possibly in between), I'm going to be doing some other stuff. Fear not, fine watchery folk. You shan't be spammed with a thousand ponies. There will be other things too!

In conclusion...
I like ponies! They're comfy and easy to wear!

So I'm about to upload a couple of sketches to my scraps folder, which I'm not likely to finish. I started them and kinda lost interest part way through. Obviously because they're not finished, they aren't great.

Been sketching a little lately. Been writing a lot. Not 100% sure where my graphics tablet is, but I'll find it, I'm sure...

So my personal life has been pretty hectic lately. Struggling with chronic illness, hospitalisation, bad financial situation, and so on. However, my life is recovering a bit now, and despite having chronic fatigue syndrome, I've started volunteering in a charity shop (British Heart Foundation), and am getting back on track with creative things.

I've been taking a break from any serious drawing lately, and have been working on setting up a lovely Minecraft server and gaming community, called Dolorem. Aimed to be a safe space for all, it really is a great community already.

I'm drawing a lot more lately, and I'm considering doing a giveaway if I hit either 50 or 100 watchers. I have a tablet going spare, and was considering it. It's a decent tablet, and it might bring more traffic to my DA

Today I learned that...
Holy shit! Yes, it's out. I won't be spoilering anyone much (Until I finish my drawing, that is). I'll post a review of it along with my next upload, to give people a chance to read it. But really, woooaaah. Loved it! And that's a wrap of this arc. Onto the final arc: Horizons.

SPOILERS:
Expect a four-panel comic in the the next few days illustrating what is probably my favourite interaction thus far between Blackjack, Rampage and Boo. A few lines are below...

    “Bwa?” Boo tilted her head.  

    “Rampage, we don’t have time for this,” I said flatly.  “Are you coming or not?”

“But... but... I have a raptor now!  Sky pirates!  But a good chance of me getting killed,” [Rampage] whined as she gestured from the ship to the top of the tower, clearly torn.  Finally, she blurted, “That’s not fair, Blackjack!”
